The lawyers asked: "describe your mission statement in a few words"
- this was the original response:

WHY "COPENHAGEN":
old europe. ultra-democratic. hygge meets action.

WHY "STREET LIFE":
local. wise. colourful.

WHY "PARTY CULTURE":
universal. trance. human meets animal (wine-women-song).

WHY "DYNAMIC":
enthusiastic. mobile. ultracontemporary.

WHY "GENEROUS":
"free from smallness of mind".

WHY "FUN":
because we can.

This was "too few words", the lawyers replied, so the Distortion festival founder wrote this MANIFESTO. But this was now "too many words" - so we told the lawyers: "how would you write it?" and they wrote this.
